Two weeks ago a work commitment saw me jetting out of my beloved Bali and spending a week at a travel retail convention in Singapore’s glamorous Marina Bay Sands. It was quite an adjustment to switch from breezy island gal to professional business lady: swapping flip flops for shoes and straight-drying my hair- I felt a little like Superman putting his spectacles back on and becoming Clark Kent again. But that’s not to say that I had a boring week. Far from it, as I had the opportunity to discover some exciting new brands in the Duty Free arena and was lucky enough to fly home armed with a bag full of samples and goodies to try. By far my favourite discovery of the entire show was New York based designer Lulu DK’s line of non-toxic temporary tattoo jewelry. Tattoo jewlery exploded onto the fashion scene last year with the fashion-forward pinning and ‘gramming photos of bronzed boho babes adorned in beautiful gold & silver jewelry designs. Often times with teaching yoga, I’m always looking for a shirt that’s not too tight, that breaths and that I can basically just throw over a sports bra and head out.
