to soothe your mind: bali botanic

balibotanic2palm leaves

I was so excited to receive this essential oil from Lou’s company Bali Botanic. Not only is it just thrilling to see my friend embark on an exciting new journey as an entrepreneur, but to see the lengths and efforts that her and her partner Bar have undertaken to find the perfect ingredients has brought so much hope and confidence to me as a consumer.

It’s so easy now for companies to just simply slap a sticker on their product marketing it as “organic” or “all natural”, because they know that not a soul will ever be able to trace it back to origin. Lately I’ve become very skeptical of some of my favorite companies which has prompted me to do more research before I continue to invest in them. With Bali Botanic, it will never be a  concern.

I first met Lou and Bar on my honeymoon in Bali, however Lou and I had been internet buddies for some time – sharing stories and comments on sea, field & tribe – and now she’s a contributing author!! But while I was staying with them in their home in Canggu, we had frequent discussions about their new company. Lou and Bar were both unsettled over finding the perfect supplier for their oils. They dedicate so much time and energy to living a simple and natural lifestyle that they yearned for their company to represent these same values and morals. Sure, it would have been easy to just go with the cheap alternative from China that claimed to be organic, but they preferred to find a supplier with transparency.

I recall receiving an email some months after Evan and I returned to Puerto Rico – they had found their supplier! Lou was ecstatic and her excitement was contagious. I waited patiently for the lavender oil to show up on Amazon, then I ordered some for myself to try it out.

I purchased a small pocket diffuser as well, something I could easily transport to the office for times of sincerity. The first instance I put a few little drops of this potent oil in the diffuser, my room was suddenly transformed into one of my favorite spa-moments that brought me right back to Bali. It was the most relaxing environment, and the most welcoming after winding down after a long day of writing and staring into a computer screen.

Now, as I sit and type my manuscripts, my little diffuser full of Bali Botanic lavender oil keeps the creases out of my forehead with each soft inhale and exhale. I quite often find myself daydreaming with this soothing smell luring me away from stress.

If you are searching for essential oils you can trust – those they have never been diluted, and are sourced from earth friendly practices, no fertilizers or chemicals ever utilized in any step of the process, then Bali Botanic is your one stop shop. Join Lou and Bar on their journey and watch their company grow as they introduce new essential oils. And if you want to try the lavender oil, jump onto Amazon and check it out!
