menagerie: camping

Become one with the wilderness. Solitude in nature – just you and the beasts.
I love camping.

Exhale

I found a beautiful blog today called Oh, Pioneer (where many of these images came from). My mind started to wander and reminded me of my camping adventures this past summer in northern Cali and Utah. Some of the best nights sleep I got on that two week roadtrip were snuggled in a sleeping bag next to Evan, with the wind and the crickets outside harmonizing a beautiful evening under the stars just for us. Each day was started with a quick breakfast on the camp stove, some coffee and tea as we sat in our captain’s chairs, smiling with each other over the chilly weather that we were so completely unprepared for. But that’s part of camping – embracing what nature offers you, just as it is.
Go out and explore your world!
Until tomorrow,

  1. Beautiful pictures. Thanks for sharing such a great blog with us. I also really love camping & would love to go this winter. I live in a big city so I need to get away because I've been wanting to see the shooting stars.:)

  2. Chelsea,

I Love your photo of the backpack and boots! I am a school counselor at an alternative school and I would love to use your image to make 5 posters in my school. Our school theme this year is about What we will bring on the journey of life. I would love to get your permission to use that photo for non-profit purpose. Please contact me if you can. :)

    • Hi Syrena! I do not know who makes the backpack, this is not originally my photo. Check out the links I’ve provided in the post to see if the manufacturer is listed with any of them. Good luck on your hunt!
