Hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend! I happened upon a new cooking blog called Love & Lemons – a sweet and sour food story – by Jeanine and Jack. I love their imagery and style of cooking. It’s simple and to the point. No frills needed; it’s beautiful and delectable the way as is. I really liked flipping through their pages of clean, fresh dishes with bright ingredients and crisp, clear photos. Here, check out some more of these guys:
Here is what Jeanine says about her cooking style:
The recipes here are mostly vegetarian. A good many are vegan and/or gluten free or can be easily adapted to be so. (I’m lactose intolerant, and I eat very little dairy – Jack loves cheese). I like to cook with whole, unprocessed ingredients. I can be equally inspired by a pretty vegetable that caught my eye at the farmers market, or the contents of what’s in my refrigerator that needs to be used up.
They live in Austin, which is pretty awesome because I’m also from The Lone Star State. But head on over and check them out! There are so many dishes for any taste at Love & Lemons. And I particularly love that they promote using natural ingredients and fresh vegetables, herbs and baking products. Enjoy!
